BarberTime’s focus on community engagement takes a back seat to no one! Our Barbers & Stylists show their support through their hard work and commitment to providing good willed services and volunteer work.

BarberTime donates to local events and non-prohits that make a difference!

Outreach & Survey Awareness:

BarberTime will provide planning, outreach, engagement, and advisory support to ensure a successful campaign. We will engage 50 Barbershops and Salons, who live or work in strategic communities of color in and around Boston. We will conduct awareness and collect data for your campaign, via 5 campaign Barber/Stylist Ambassadors.

Peer – Mental Health Companionships:

Clients and communities of select barbershop/salon locations can apply for a “Companionship” with participating support Barber/Stylist Ambassadors.

• I.C.D. protocols support from select Ambassador locations.
• Scheduled, free grooming services with Paired-Ambassadors.

Shop hosts are supplied with campaign materials for their shop. They compensated for the host location, grooming services and per hour wage.

Mentorships:

BarberTime partnered Mentors are a collaboration between select shops and the professionals that patronize their shops. Mentors exchange their time and professional resources for free grooming services from select Ambassadors. Mentors may also be compensated by other BarberTime partnerships and programs.

• Registered Companionship participants can apply.
• Scheduled Paired-Mentor meetings.
• Scheduled, free grooming service meetings with Paired-Ambassador and Mentor.

Senior Cuts & Coffee Hour:

Hosted by select Ambassador locations, Senior Coffee Hours create conversation and compassion for elderly community residents.

• Free coffee and light breakfast foods
• Scheduled, free grooming services with Paired-Ambassadors.

Shop hosts are supplied with campaign materials for their shop. They are compensated for the host location, food, grooming services and per hour wage.

Youth Workshops:

Youth workshops are for young people ages 8-16 and are meant to increase awareness to the Barber & Beauty industry’s and give alternative career paths to disenfranchised youth.

  • What interests you about barbering/styling?
  • What’s one thing you’ve done positive for someone?
  • What is your strongest character trait?
  • What is your favorite hair cut/style?
• Participants receive:
  • 1 FREE haircut/style
  • 2 (up to 3) tutorial sessions (learning and participating in an actual cut)
  • 1 pair of donated clippers or trimmers (may be used)
  • 1 bio page on barbertimeplus.com
