Hi, I’m Nefertiti Powell and I’m a hairstylist and a barber of 20 years now throughout my career I had many experiences with my clients. They share a lot of personal and intimate issues in their lives. I find myself giving them advice on all kinds of issues. A memory that sticks out the most for me is my younger clients . I watch grow up .Now that they are young adults and entering into womanhood they have questions about how to conduct themselves even my younger teenage girls who are just entering high school they all seem to have a lot of questions for me, so my advice to them is to be confident speak up for yourself don’t let people walk all over you be a leader. Right now at the age that they are I try to express to them how important it is to make the right choices and a lot of times if you plan out your future, starting at 16 achieve your goals early if you stick to a straight path, but if you make wrong choices then you can delay your life’s plan .It’s possible to be successful at a young age, but making bad choices can derail or make it take longer to get there, so I always encourage my girls to make good choices and whoever they want to be in life is obtainable all you have to do is plan it out and work towards it every day.
